Research Interests (2)
- My research concerns mainly with nonlinear partial differential equations arising from applied sciences, such as biology, invasion ecology (impact of invasive species in agriculture and biodiversity), solitary wave, and nonlinear acoustic-gravity wave.
- Ecology and biology have a lengthy and prosperous history of utilizing mathematical techniques as a "virtual laboratory" for exploring underlying ecological and biological mechanisms, testing hypotheses, and producing innovative predictions. With recent advances in simulation techniques, computing power, and numerical methods for mathematical and statistical models, the integration of empirical and theoretical approaches in ecology and biology has made significant progress. Mathematical theories that were established as far back as the early 1900s have had a significant impact on the direction of ecological and biological research, such as in examining invasion and range expansions, population dynamics, species interactions, and disease spread.
