Biography (1)
- Dr. Md. Abdullah Al Mamun is a Professor of Finance and Banking in the Department of Business Administration at Pabna University of Science and Technology. He began his teaching career at the university as a Lecturer on January 9, 2012, and earned his Ph.D. on "Working Capital Management of Pharmaceutical Industry in Bangladesh" in 2017. Dr. Mamun's academic foundation includes an MBA (2008) and BBA (2007) in Finance and Banking from the University of Rajshahi, where he achieved exceptional CGPAs of 3.90 and 3.81, respectively. His earlier education includes a first division in both his Higher Secondary Certificate (2002) from Dashuria Degree College and Secondary School Certificate (2000) from Parkhidirpur High School, both under the Rajshahi Board. He is a dedicated educator, teaching a range of courses including Principles of Finance, Financial Management, Principles and Practices of Banking, Corporate Finance, and Bank Management at the undergraduate level, as well as Corporate Financial Theory, Working Capital Management, Security Analysis, and Portfolio Management to postgraduate students. Dr. Mamun also effectively supervises undergraduate internships and research for postgraduate and Ph.D. students. His research interests are diverse, encompassing Fintech, Regtech, Blockchain, financial inclusion, contemporary corporate finance issues, bank capital adequacy, and bank performance. His work has been published in numerous national and international journals, with several projects receiving university competitive grants.
