Biography (1)
- Dr. Md. Abdullah Al Mamun is a Professor and the most senior faculty member of the Finance and Banking discipline at the Department of Business Administration of Pabna University of Science and Technology. He joined as a Lecturer at this University on 9th January 2012. He obtained PhD in working capital management in the pharmaceutical industry in Bangladesh in 2017. Dr. Mamun completed his MBA(CGPA-3.90) in 2008 and his BBA(CGPA-3.81) in 2007 in Finance and Banking from the University of Rajshahi. Earlier, he passed the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (HSC) from Dashuria Degree College, Ishwardi, Pabna, and the Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSC) from Parkhidirpur High School, Athgoria, Pabna, both under Rajshahi Board in the year 2002 and 2000 with first division respectively. He teaches courses on Principles of Finance, Financial Management, Principles and Practices of Banking, Corporate Finance, and Bank Management to undergraduate (BBA) students and Corporate Financial Theory, Security Analysis, and Portfolio Management to postgraduate (MBA) students. He has been acting as an internship supervisor at the undergraduate level and research supervisor at the postgraduate level and conducting these effectively. His research interests include Fintech, Regtech, Blockchain, financial inclusion, contemporary corporate finance issues, bank capital adequacy, and bank Performance. His research has been published in several nationally and internationally recognized journals. A number of his research has been funded through university competitive grants.
